The 49ers bled value on every deal, hence the D.

The 49ers lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. The process wobbled, and the D is where it lands.

Every board in the league had Reed lower, and that gap is the story. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. On value alone, Smith makes the weekend a net positive.

The D.J. Humphries deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
