There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Cowboys started one anyway for Joe Milton III, 55 picks ahead of schedule. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The Cowboys indulged a want in Hunt while a need in tight end stayed open.

Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took McGlothern.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
