The Chargers worked the phones like thieves and earned a A-.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Chargers took Solomon Byrd a full 36 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.

Wilson falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Bottom line, with Adonai Mitchell leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
