The Chargers let Jones fall and pounced. Final grade: A-.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Chargers watched Trente Jones slide 59 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The Chargers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
