Grand theft in the 226th overall pick: the Jets steal Devonshire and grade out a D. The tape said wait; the Jets did not. Joe Milton III went at the 161st pick, a good 38 picks before the board was ready.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Spending an early pick on DT-EDGE with interior defensive lineman open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
However the rest shakes out, Devonshire at that price is a win they earned.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
