Good, not great, for the Cardinals: B-. Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Cardinals never addressed quarterback, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
The Murphy II steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move. On the needs board they went 1 of 8, with interior defensive lineman the one that mattered most.
It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick13
Rnd1
Terrion Arnold
In No. 13 they get a lockdown presence outside. Need was not the driver here.
Pick27
Rnd1
Byron Murphy II
In the 27th pick they get a run-stuffing presence up front, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
