The Saints let Jackson fall into their laps, and walked away with a D.

The Saints lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. Put together, it is a D.

Gore Jr. has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Jackson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and tight end is still a hole.
