The Bears torched the value chart for Fentrell Cypress II, taking him 81 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted.

Emmanwori at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Good work on the whole, with linebacker the one box left unchecked.
