A costly weekend of dealing drags the Cowboys to a D.

Nobody else had Jamon Dumas-Johnson anywhere near Round 6, Pick 28. The Cowboys did, by 38 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Emmanwori at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Danielle Hunter gives the group a proven body among the projects.
