Draft Grade — Steelers
Overall B
ValueB NeedB- TradesA FutureC
The Steelers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Steelers never addressed quarterback, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. No fireworks, but a solid B.

However the rest shakes out, Worthy at that price is a win they earned. They are betting Jacobs proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Adding Quinn Meinerz by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Amarius Mims
Amarius Mims at Round 1, Pick 30 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick51 Rnd2 T.J. Tampa
By-the-book stuff, T.J. Tampa at the 51st pick squarely in line with his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick73 Rnd3 Xavier Worthy
Steal is underselling it; Xavier Worthy at pick 73 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick76 Rnd3 Mike Sainristil
Mike Sainristil at slot 76 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick84 Rnd3 Ja'Lynn Polk
A quiet steal in pick No. 84: Ja'Lynn Polk for less than the market said. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick93 Rnd3 DeWayne Carter
DeWayne Carter at the Round 3 slot is a conviction pick that outran the value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick178 Rnd6 Curtis Jacobs
They reached into another round for Curtis Jacobs, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
