The Cowboys bled value on every deal, hence the D.

The Tyreak Sapp selection is the head-turner. The Cowboys reached 44 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. It is not that Haulcy is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. However the rest shakes out, Lew at that price is a win they earned.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.
