Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Cowboys spent the 204th overall pick on Tyler Batty, a name the board had a full 41 spots lower.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.

The Cowboys indulged a want in Winston Jr. while a need in cornerback, linebacker and other spots stayed open. On value alone, Sanders makes the weekend a net positive.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
