A costly weekend of dealing drags the Cowboys to a D-. When the story of this class is written, it opens with Caden Curry at Round 3, Pick 12, a reach of 56 spots that the board flatly disagrees with. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D-.
The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.
It is not that Curry is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first. That Bell pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
