Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Cowboys spent pick No. 99 on Drew Allar, a name the board had a full 59 spots lower. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The Stowers pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

The Cowboys clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
