Draft Grade — Packers

Best value of the weekend goes to the Packers for Williams: B. This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Savion Williams, the No. 91 name on the board, stolen at No. 124.
Every board in the league had West lower, and that gap is the story. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick23
Rnd1
Will Johnson
In the Round 1 slot they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick54
Rnd2
Donovan Ezeiruaku
No edge and no loss on Donovan Ezeiruaku in the 54th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick87
Rnd3
Jalen Royals
You do not let a wide receiver like Jalen Royals reach the 87th overall pick and blink. They did not. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick124
Rnd4
Savion Williams
Somehow Savion Williams was still sitting there in No. 124, and they pounced on premier wide receiver value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick159
Rnd5
CJ West
They left a pile of value on the table to take CJ West this early at pick 159. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
