A costly weekend of dealing drags the Cowboys to a D.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Cowboys shredded theirs for Taylen Green. He came off 42 spots early, and the room will hear about it. Hard to defend, and the D reflects that.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They will regret leaving offensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. The Cowboys indulged a want in Wheatley while a need in offensive lineman stayed open.

The Cowboys paired the rookies with proven help, Paris Johnson Jr. leading the way.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
