The Cowboys clearly saw something nobody else did in Brady Cook, taking him 111 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. They have staked the next five years on Jaxson Dart, which is the only story that really matters here. For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Gordon II.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, cornerback very much included.
