The Cowboys drew a line under the quarterback search with McCarthy: D+.

The Cowboys torched the value chart for Trajan Jeffcoat, taking him 75 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D+ is the result.

They have staked the next five years on J.J. McCarthy, which is the only story that really matters here. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down.

The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Morgan pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, tight end very much included.
