Hard to follow the map here. The Steelers bypassed quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots to take Patrick Paul at the 86th pick, a spot they had covered. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with safety chief among the fixes.
