If confidence were a draft strategy, the Cowboys would have aced it. Xavier Truss at the Round 7 slot is 57 spots clear of where he belonged.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. It is not that Winston Jr. is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first. They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Emmanwori.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
