There is reaching, and then there is Zion Logue at No. 233. The Cowboys jumped the board by 53 and dared it to prove them wrong. The math is unkind, and the D follows.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They have staked the next five years on J.J. McCarthy, which is the only story that really matters here.

For all the activity, tight end went untouched, which is hard to explain. Landing Watson that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
