The board owed the Steelers one, and it paid up: Luke McCaffrey, the No. 149 name on the board, sitting there at slot 178 like a gift left on the doorstep. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

Every board in the league had Wilson lower, and that gap is the story. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

The Steelers indulged a want in Frazier while a need in quarterback, safety and other spots stayed open.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
