Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesC+ FutureA
The Browns let Scott fall and pounced. Final grade: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Browns were there to profit. Keionte Scott, the No. 60 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 92. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. The Tiernan reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick24 Rnd1 Jordyn Tyson
In the 24th pick they get a true top target. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick25 Rnd1 Caleb Tiernan
Caleb Tiernan in the 25th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The roster fit checks out.
Pick39 Rnd2 CJ Allen
They let CJ Allen come to them and pounced at the Round 2 slot. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick63 Rnd2 Jake Slaughter
They read the board right and Jake Slaughter was the payoff at No. 63. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick70 Rnd3 Eli Stowers
Eli Stowers slid further than he should have, and slot 70 is lovely value for the tight end. It fills a real need, too.
Pick92 Rnd3 Keionte Scott
Keionte Scott in pick No. 92 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick107 Rnd4 Caden Curry
Caden Curry in Round 4, Pick 7 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick111 Rnd4 Bryce Lance
Bryce Lance in pick 111 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick112 Rnd4 Keylan Rutledge
Keylan Rutledge at the Round 4 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick146 Rnd5 Kaytron Allen
Kaytron Allen in the 146th pick is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick149 Rnd5 Skyler Gill-Howard
They paid sticker price for Skyler Gill-Howard in Round 5, Pick 9, and that is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick206 Rnd6 TJ Hall
They liked TJ Hall enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 206. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick248 Rnd7 Andre Fuller
The board had Andre Fuller higher than No. 248, and the cornerback fell to them anyway. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick256 Rnd7 Nolan Rucci
A tidy little value on Nolan Rucci in the 256th overall pick, a step better than break-even. A need, and now a little less of one.
