The Browns worked the phones like thieves and earned a A-.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Browns came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A-.

Reaching for Barrett left real value on the table behind him. Lew at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Adding Tyler Guyton by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

In the end it comes back to Arvell Reese, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
