Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall
B-

FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Cardinals: B-. Everything else got attention, and quarterback got none. That is a strange way for the Cardinals to leave a draft.
They are betting Wilson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. That Wright pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
In pick No. 4 they get a matchup problem out wide at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick27
Rnd1
Darius Robinson
In No. 27 they get a disruptor off the edge, reach and all. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick35
Rnd2
Adonai Mitchell
Adonai Mitchell at the Round 2 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick66
Rnd3
Blake Fisher
Blake Fisher in pick 66 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick71
Rnd3
Jaylen Wright
Value with a capital V on Jaylen Wright in the 71st overall pick, a genuine coup. The roster fit checks out.
Pick90
Rnd3
Jonah Elliss
Good price on Jonah Elliss in the 90th pick, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick104
Rnd4
Johnny Wilson
They paid up for Johnny Wilson at slot 104 when waiting would have done the job. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
