Draft Grade — Titans
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Ward in the fold, and a B- for the Titans.

The search is over. The Titans handed the keys to Cam Ward, and the whole operation now runs on his development. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. However the rest shakes out, McLaughlin at that price is a win they earned. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Cam Ward
In the 1st pick they get their quarterback of the future at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick35 Rnd2 Nic Scourton
A clean, defensible pick in the Round 2 slot with a little surplus value in Nic Scourton. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick103 Rnd4 Tez Johnson
Tez Johnson in pick 103 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick120 Rnd4 Emery Jones Jr.
A straight-up fair deal on Emery Jones Jr. at the 120th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick141 Rnd5 Riley Leonard
Riley Leonard is a better player than Round 5, Pick 3 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick167 Rnd5 Kaimon Rucker
Kaimon Rucker slid further than he should have, and slot 167 is lovely value for the edge rusher. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick178 Rnd6 Tommi Hill
Tommi Hill in No. 178 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick188 Rnd6 Seth McLaughlin
They barely believed it either: Seth McLaughlin still on the board at pick No. 188. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
