Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B
ValueC NeedB TradesC FutureA
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Rams: B.

The Isaac TeSlaa pick is the one that will follow the Rams into the fall. They took him 106 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

It is not that Stutsman is a bad player; it is that the Rams had louder needs to answer first. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through safety.

The Hudson steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick86 Rnd3 Chris Paul Jr.
Chris Paul Jr. at pick No. 86 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the linebacker. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick90 Rnd3 Danny Stutsman
A surprising call. With safety, quarterback and other spots still to address, they spent the Round 3 slot on Danny Stutsman, a linebacker they were not short of.
Pick101 Rnd3 Anthony Belton
Anthony Belton in Round 3, Pick 37 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick119 Rnd4 Cam Skattebo
A quiet steal in the 119th pick: Cam Skattebo for less than the market said. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick127 Rnd4 Isaac TeSlaa
A big swing on Isaac TeSlaa at No. 127, well ahead of any board in the building. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick195 Rnd6 Jason Marshall Jr.
Jason Marshall Jr. in the 195th overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick201 Rnd6 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II in pick No. 201 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick202 Rnd6 Carson Vinson
They reached a country mile for Carson Vinson at Round 6, Pick 26, and the board is aghast. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick228 Rnd7 Kobe Hudson
They let Kobe Hudson come to them and pounced at the Round 7 slot. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
