Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall C+
ValueA+ NeedB- TradesF FutureB
Larceny in pick No. 199 lands the Broncos a C+, Harris and all.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Broncos were there to profit. Tre Harris, the No. 9 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 6 slot.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Trading back for volume was the quiet throughline of their weekend.

Hit on Travis Hunter and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.

Pick Analysis
Pick37 Rnd2 Travis Hunter
Travis Hunter in the Round 2 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick44 Rnd2 Tyleik Williams
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Tyleik Williams at pick 44 is the proof. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick56 Rnd2 Ashton Jeanty
The board fumbled Ashton Jeanty all the way to the 56th pick, and they scooped it up. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick65 Rnd3 Nick Emmanwori
Steal is underselling it; Nick Emmanwori at slot 65 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick80 Rnd3 Harold Fannin Jr.
Harold Fannin Jr. in the 80th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick87 Rnd3 Tate Ratledge
Tate Ratledge at No. 87 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It fills a real need, too.
Pick118 Rnd4 Wyatt Milum
You do not let an offensive lineman like Wyatt Milum reach Round 4, Pick 17 and blink. They did not. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick129 Rnd4 Elic Ayomanor
They robbed the room for Elic Ayomanor here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick143 Rnd5 Walter Nolen
A top-tier interior defensive lineman at a bargain, Walter Nolen in the 143rd overall pick, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick147 Rnd5 Earnest Greene III
Taking Earnest Greene III in pick No. 147 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick161 Rnd5 Domani Jackson
They will replay Domani Jackson at No. 161 for years; that is how good the value is. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick165 Rnd5 Bryce Foster
No edge and no loss on Bryce Foster in the 165th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick193 Rnd6 DJ Giddens
Circle this one: DJ Giddens at slot 193 is a fall that decides a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick199 Rnd6 Tre Harris
They barely believed it either: Tre Harris still on the board at Round 6, Pick 24. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick200 Rnd6 Jordan Hancock
A cornerback of that caliber at pick 200 is the definition of value, full stop. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
