More right than wrong for the 49ers, and a B- to prove it.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Oluwafemi Oladejo at the 75th pick is 66 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.

The Belton value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.

Pick Analysis
Pick11 Rnd1 Armand Membou
In the 11th overall pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick43 Rnd2 Jalon Walker
Jalon Walker in No. 43 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick75 Rnd3 Oluwafemi Oladejo
Oluwafemi Oladejo at slot 75 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick100 Rnd3 Sai'vion Jones
This one needs a full-page explanation: Sai'vion Jones in pick No. 100, miles early. It fills a real need, too.
Pick113 Rnd4 Cam Skattebo
A straight-up fair deal on Cam Skattebo at the Round 4 slot, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick138 Rnd4 Anthony Belton
Anthony Belton at pick 138 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick147 Rnd5 O'Donnell Fortune
They took O'Donnell Fortune at par in the 147th pick, which is nothing to complain about. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick160 Rnd5 Antwaun Powell-Ryland
Antwaun Powell-Ryland in pick No. 160 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick227 Rnd7 Isaac TeSlaa
No edge and no loss on Isaac TeSlaa in Round 7, Pick 11; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick249 Rnd7 John Williams
John Williams at the 249th overall pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick252 Rnd7 Drew Kendall
They reached a country mile for Drew Kendall at pick 252, and the board is aghast. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
