Draft Grade — Browns
Overall B-
ValueC- NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Browns, and a B- to prove it.

Boards are made to be trusted, and the Browns shredded theirs for Kedon Slovis. He came off 71 spots early, and the room will hear about it.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick54 Rnd2 Mike Sainristil
The board had cheaper options than Mike Sainristil at the Round 2 slot, and it noticed. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick85 Rnd3 Cade Stover
Cade Stover at the 85th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick135 Rnd4 Jordan Jefferson
Jordan Jefferson at pick 135 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick155 Rnd5 Cornelius Johnson
They reached into another round for Cornelius Johnson, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick202 Rnd6 Curtis Jacobs
Curtis Jacobs at pick No. 202 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick205 Rnd6 Daijun Edwards
No edge and no loss on Daijun Edwards in No. 205; it is a wash and a sensible one. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick243 Rnd7 Kedon Slovis
Kedon Slovis at the Round 7 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
