Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall

FutureB-
Lambert-Smith should have been long gone. The Ravens pounced, and earned a B-. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Ravens watched KeAndre Lambert-Smith slide 45 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. They are betting TeSlaa proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Nick Emmanwori
In the 27th pick they get a centerfielder for the defense. Need was not the driver here.
Pick59
Rnd2
Jihaad Campbell
They will replay Jihaad Campbell at Round 2, Pick 27 for years; that is how good the value is. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick91
Rnd3
Ozzy Trapilo
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Ozzy Trapilo at the Round 3 slot. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick129
Rnd4
Nohl Williams
By-the-book stuff, Nohl Williams at pick No. 129 squarely in line with his ranking. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick136
Rnd4
O'Donnell Fortune
O'Donnell Fortune in No. 136 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick176
Rnd5
Jack Nelson
No edge and no loss on Jack Nelson in the 176th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick183
Rnd6
JJ Pegues
No drama and no debate, JJ Pegues went about where he belonged in pick 183. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick203
Rnd6
Addison West
A premium they did not need to pay, Addison West a notch or two before his time. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick210
Rnd6
Howard Cross III
The board had cheaper options than Howard Cross III at Round 6, Pick 34, and it noticed. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick212
Rnd6
Isaac TeSlaa
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Isaac TeSlaa well ahead of where he belonged. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick243
Rnd7
KeAndre Lambert-Smith
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 243rd overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. The roster fit checks out.
