The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to Caleb Williams, and the whole operation now runs on his development. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

The Edwards pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close.

Spending an early pick on safety with interior defensive lineman and linebacker open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They are betting Milton III proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
