Somebody in the 148th pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cowboys sat still while Cam Skattebo, the No. 113 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Every board in the league had McLaughlin lower, and that gap is the story. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
