Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Steelers spent the 52nd pick on Sedrick Van Pran, a name the board had a full 38 spots lower. Too much went sideways, and the D+ is the honest tally.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. The Steelers indulged a want in Van Pran while a need in quarterback, edge rusher and other spots stayed open. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
