The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Patriots watched Ollie Gordon II slide 80 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.

Reaching for Pegues left real value on the table behind him. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
