There is reaching, and then there is Jaden Hicks at the Round 5 slot. The Bears jumped the board by 47 and dared it to prove them wrong.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Walker. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Adding Ezra Cleveland by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
