A costly weekend of dealing drags the Cowboys to a D-.

The Cowboys did not so much draft Tyler Batty as overpay for him, 75 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want.

With cornerback and tight end unsolved, spending premium capital on safety is the choice that costs them. The Alexander steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
