Maye is the plan now, and the Patriots grade out a D+. Somebody took the Patriots to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D+ is the result.
Drake Maye is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. Mustapha at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Pearl reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
