Call it larceny. Trinidad Chambliss sat on the board until pick 228, and the Cowboys did not need to be asked twice.

The cost of the Williams reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
