The board owed the Bengals one, and it paid up: D'Angelo Ponds, the No. 48 name on the board, sitting there at Round 3, Pick 8 like a gift left on the doorstep. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.

The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
