The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Chargers watched Johnny Dixon slide 34 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. Every board in the league had Edwards lower, and that gap is the story.

Adding Tyrann Mathieu by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
