Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall A
ValueB+ NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureA
Moore is the plan now, and the Raiders grade out a A.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Dante Moore is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop.

If Campbell pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. That is a quarterback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Dante Moore
In pick 20 they get a franchise quarterback, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick33 Rnd2 Jermod McCoy
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Jermod McCoy in Round 2, Pick 1, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick52 Rnd2 Jake Slaughter
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Jake Slaughter at pick No. 52 is the proof. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick65 Rnd3 Ian Strong
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Ian Strong. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick78 Rnd3 Caleb Tiernan
Caleb Tiernan at slot 78 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick101 Rnd4 Akheem Mesidor
This one needs a full-page explanation: Akheem Mesidor in No. 101, miles early. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick118 Rnd4 DJ Campbell
A wild overpay on DJ Campbell in the 118th overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick136 Rnd4 Diego Pavia
They barely believed it either: Diego Pavia still on the board at the 136th pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick175 Rnd5 Jacob Rodriguez
They robbed the room for Jacob Rodriguez here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
