The Cowboys finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D-.

The Brady Cook pick is the one that will follow the Cowboys into the fall. They took him 72 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. They have staked the next five years on Jaxson Dart, which is the only story that really matters here. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The Edwards pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
