You build a draft on nights like this. Marist Liufau had no business being available in the 189th overall pick, and the Bills did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The cost of the McCaffrey reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.

Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.
