The Cowboys spent real capital to be 107 picks early on Rueben Owens II, and the board is going to hold them to it. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

Getting Green where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.

Adding Jake Matthews by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
