A costly weekend of dealing drags the Cowboys to a D.

The Cowboys treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending slot 204 on Brady Cook a full 79 spots early.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. The Cowboys indulged a want in Ransom while a need in cornerback and linebacker stayed open.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up. Trapilo falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
