Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedA-
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Chiefs did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Chiefs did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to wide receiver, which was the need that mattered most.
Henderson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Grey Zabel
In slot 31 they get protection for the quarterback. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick63
Rnd2
TreVeyon Henderson
Quietly one of the better values of the day, TreVeyon Henderson at No. 63. It fills a real need, too.
