The Cowboys bet big and early on Jake Majors, 48 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The whole projection now runs through Jaxson Dart; hit there and everything else looks smarter.

Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Emmanwori pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
