The Patriots ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Reaching for Conerly Jr. left real value on the table behind him. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

They banked enough surplus on Allen to cover a lot of smaller sins.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
