Boards are made to be trusted, and the Cowboys shredded theirs for Malachi Lawrence. He came off 29 spots early, and the room will hear about it.

Golday falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Spending an early pick on edge rusher with quarterback and running back open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
